We are an SEND Alternative Provision catering to children aged 4 to 13

Our focus is on supporting children with moderate to severe learning, social, and emotional needs, including children on the autism spectrum. Additionally, we welcome children with physical, visual, and hearing impairments, as well as those with basic health needs.

Children are at the heart of everything we do at HOPECFI!

Our Mission

HOPECFI is a recently launched SEND and Inclusion Provision located in East Leeds. Our primary goal is to provide alternative learning and educational opportunities for school-aged children who are either registered in a mainstream school as they await placement in a specialist school, attend mainstream school but in addition, require alternative provision due to additional or complex needs, or seek respite for parents engaged in homeschooling.

Our mission is rooted in ensuring that every child with Special Educational Needs or Disability has the opportunity for a better start in life.

And it starts with HOPE.

Opened October 2024

Placement can be temporary or long term.

Our services encompass comprehensive support for various impairments and learning difficulties, ensuring tailored care for each child's unique needs. For children with hearing impairments, we provide audiological services, speech and language therapy, sign language instruction, and assistive listening devices. Those with visual impairments benefit from braille instruction and assistive technology. For specific and moderate learning difficulties, we offer small group instruction and assistive technology. Children with severe learning difficulties benefit from multi-sensory learning approaches, therapeutic interventions, and life skills training. Support for profound and multiple learning difficulties includes sensory stimulation activities and integrated therapy services. We also foster social connections and inclusion through structured peer mentoring and buddy systems.
Emotional and mental health support is available through therapeutic and crisis interventions. Social skills development is facilitated via social skills training and peer support groups. Behavioural support involves individualised strategies to manage challenging behaviours through positive reinforcement, proactive interventions, and behavioural therapy. Additionally, we offer extracurricular activities and transition support to ensure well-rounded development and smooth transitions between educational settings.
